Welcome to My Present Thoughts. For years, I have sought to change several areas of my life for the better, focusing on the pillars of spirituality, health, and wealth. I have read countless books and blogs, listened to hours and hours of podcasts, and experimented with many different philosophies on the road to figuring out why I felt so unfulfilled. I found a tribe of people that I related to, and had no idea existed!
But the single best piece of advice any of them gave (and gave consistently) was to remain in the present moment.
I hate that this is the answer, and I hate doing it. My favorite game to play is Why Didn’t I Do That Better, and In the Future Everything is Better.
Over time, however, I started practicing being in the present moment, and here’s where it has led me:
- increased happiness even as life throws me curveballs
- bolder moves towards what I want
- a much healthier lifestyle
- a dramatically increased net worth
